As a Cherokee grandma with chronic illnesses and a health psychologist, I am PASSIONATE about educating women about the impact of past traumas on their health, exploring effective alternative treatments, and helping women trust the wisdom of their bodies over the voices of the “experts” so they can find a new version health.
There was a comfort with the material and nuance when you answered questions that communicated to students a thorough knowledge of the topics (and, as many skilled speakers do…you also asked some rhetorical questions that were related that they probably hadn't considered). I admired the way you spoke about grief and loss, and what kind of mindset one needs to have to do that work well.

Your strengths as a speaker are that you are very knowledgeable and specific while being caring and compassionate. Speaking to women with chronic illness in self-advocacy is a manifestation of your caring/compassion – supported by your knowledge and personal experience.

When I think of many speakers, they are often high energy. I don't experience you that way and I believe this balance is something that comes naturally to you... I know you already bring personal experiences to your speaking, so I can't think of what else at the moment. I wish I could have video-taped my reaction as I read that you are speaking to women with chronic illness and helping them with their self-advocacy. I actually said "oh my god, yes." A number of client cases come to mind along with so many other folx without chronic illness but who face medical professionals and cannot advocate for themselves. It sounds EXCELLENT!
